Just want to update you on the hotel
reservations. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are unable to
offer the aforementioned reservations at the Holiday Inn.
We have therefore checked and reserved 20
rooms at Boomtown (Cost 149.00 per night)
Need to reserve be April 23.
Also the LaQuinta Motel (Rate of $99.00 per
night) Need to reserve be the April 29.
Another option is a Deluxe cabin at the Lake
Bistineau State Pare for $90.00.
This cabin has 2 bedrooms, Kitchen, a screened
in porch and TV.
We still need your contribution of $25.00 per
family or $15.00 per individual to be sent as soon as possible. The
other cost will be $10.00 for the t-shirts.

has refrigerators and stoves as well

Hello Family,
It’s
that time again; time to get ready for our 2010 family reunion. As
you know
It is going to be in
Shreveport, La. Tommie and Bunnie Hyson will be our sponsors.
They have very
special plans for the Friday night mixer as well as the picnic on
Saturday.
The
Friday night mixer and the Saturday picnic will be at the Lake
Bistineau State Park. Address 103 State Park Road Doyline, Louisiana
71023 (Webster Parish).
The State Park has
been reserved for the 2 day period. The park has 15 cabins that are
available to whomever wants to use them. They have already been paid
for by Tommie
And Bunny. But
remember the cabins only have the beds. You need to bring your own
sheets and pillows and towels, and whatever else you need for your
over night stay. The bathroom is not attached to the cabin but in a
separate area. This is very rustic but free to those who would like
to stay there for free!.

As you know we have
asked for a small contribution from each family to defray the
Cost for reserving
the facility and other things that the sponsor has to purchase.
We are
asking for $25.00 per family or $15.00 per individual. The picnic
will be potluck as it always is. The State park area has several
refrigerators and stoves for our convenience as well as bar-b-que
pits.
The sooner we can
start getting the money the better for our sponsors.
The
other cost will be the T-shirts. They will be $10.00 each. Please
send that as well .

good time. Bring your dominoes, board games and your other games.
Also bring your
musical instrument and your talent for the talent show at the mixer,
Friday night There will be basketball, baseball, & piñata for the
kids at the picnic.

The 2010 Moorland Family Reunion is in the initial planning stage.
We would like for this reunion to be equal to or better than any
that we have had in the past. That can only happen if you share your
input and attend.
We have a great location, the Holiday Inn Express. The rooms are
normally $109.00 per night, but, for the Moorland Reunion the rate
will be $86.00 per night if the reservations are made at least two
weeks in advance. Send me an email (bigthy49@yahoo.com) if you are
interested so I can block the appropriate number of rooms.
The icebreaker/registration, picnic and basketball game will all be
at the Holiday Inn, very convenient. We will have the banquet room
for the ice breaker, but we will also have a hospitality room for
two days to play dominoes, cards or just lounge around watching TV.
If there is sufficient participation, we will award championship
trophies to the winners of the basketball and softball games. The
kids will get first, second and third place ribbons in their games.
